Amazon India launches store for refurbished and used mobile phones

Delhi’s Gaffar Market, Mumbai’s Lamington Road, and Kolkata’s Chandni Market are most famous markets to sell new and used mobile phones, tablets and many gadgets. Now, Amazon India launches a separate online store on its website to buy refurbished and used mobile phones. Amazon says-

“Refurbished products undergo professional testing and restoration (if required) to meet brand specifications and will come in sealed brand packaging with all set of accessories.”

Company has also defined Product Condition Details and defined refurbished smartphones on its website in below words-

“A refurbished phone is a model that has been returned to the manufacturer for a number of reasons. Once returned, the manufacturer tests the set for problems and restores it to its full functioning ability and makes it available in factory standard condition.”

Amazon also confirmed that all refurbished products sold on Amazon.in portal carry a minimum 6 months warranty period. This warranty must be offered by the manufacturers only. According to the information on Amazon website, a customer can reach out to the manufacturer in the same way as one would do for a new product. All used products may have been in possession of other customers prior to being put up for sale and comes in three conditions – Like new, Good and acceptable. Delivery timelines for used and refurbished products are the same as any other new product sold and fulfilled by sellers on Amazon.in.
