Android Nougat adoption boosted to 2.8% of all Android device

Google has released the latest data for the month of March about Android OS distribution for the devices running different Android version. This gives the information about the relative number of devices running a given version of the Android platform. Google’s latest data shows that the Android Nougat adoption has been boosted to 2.8% of all Android devices, up from 1.2% in February. Android Nougat adoption rate sees a significant change in one month.

Going by the Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 distribution, then Android Nougat 7.0 is present on 2.4% of devices while o.4% of devices run Nougat 7.1. Google has already moved fromĀ Android 7.0 to Android 7.1.2 which includes several new features and improvements.

Android Marshmallow running devices have also seen a boost to 31.3% from 30.7% in last month. Meanwhile, the Android Lollipop remains the top OS version running on devices with a share of 32.5%. Android Marshmallow tops the second spot with a share of 31.3% of the market followed by Android KitKat at third place with a share of 20.8%. Jelly Bean running devices have the share of 10.6%, and both Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread at 1.0% of all Android running devices.
