Google has announced it’s flagship smartphones in the Pixel series – Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. In a Blog post , Google has confirmed the pricing details of the Pixel smartphones for the India market. Both the handsets will be available in 32GB and 128GB storage variants with a price tag starting at INR 57,000. Both the Pixel smartphones will be available for pre-order in India from October 13th 2016. Google Pixel and Pixle XL comes in two colors – Quite Black and Very Silver.

Both the smartphones are tagged with the premium pricing by the Google, directly aiming a competition with Apple’s iPhone. Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be available from many participating retailers including include Flipkart, Chroma, Reliance digital, and more. Also the Pixel users will have access to a toll free phone support number along with 54 walk in service centres across 30+ cities in India.
According to the Google – for the first time a phone, made by Google inside and out, that brings people the best of Google through hardware and software made by Google — Pixel. Google says Pixel and Pixel XL are built on five pillars – Google Assistant, Photography, Storage, Communications and Virtual reality.
The Google Pixel features a 5-inch (1920x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and powered by 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The Google Pixel XL has a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and powered by 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The Pixel packs a 2,770mAh battery on the other hand the Pixel XL packs a bigger battery of 3,450mAh capacity. Both the handsets comes with the same camera specifications – 12.3MP rear camera with LED flash, and an 8MP front camera. The cameras come with OIS and support 4K video recording.
