Chrome browser users are lucky to have an browser extension that blocks most (but not all) Pokemon GO related content. Thanks to some of the developers out there who has released the Pokemon GO away chrome extension.

How it works?

It scans popular websites for Pokemon Go!- references and hides them upon loading the webpage on social networks including Facebook, Twitter, and 9gag.

The developers have given the reasons why does it do that, and they are hilarious enough:

  • To protect the world from devastation!
  • To unite all normal people within our nation!
  • To denounce the evils of hypes and spam!
  • To block its reach to the stars above!

Here is another chrome extension PokeGone. As the description says: “Sick and tired of hearing about Pokemon? PokeGone will take care of that! This extension will stop your eyes from seeing grown adults raving on about Pokemon. Remove all traces of Pokemon from the internet with one simple extension!” It also blocks most (but not all) Pokémon-related content.
