If you are still a Nokia fan and waiting for something new from the company, then here we have some exciting news for you. The Finnish company is coming back to the smartphone business and is planning to launch some Android running smartphones and tablets at the end of this year. A mysterious Nokia smartphone with the model number D1C running Android 7.0 Nougat OS spotted on the Geekbench benchmark site.
The Nokia smartphone spotted on the Geekbench appears to be a mid-range handset. It doesn’t reveal much except some handy information about the processor and RAM detailing. The Geekbench benchmark reports that the handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz, and the Adreno 505 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphones appears to be running on latest Android Nougat OS. There is no further info about the display size, camera setup or anything else.
The Nokia D1C was run through Geekbench five times and scored around 628 points in single-core and 3229 in multi-core loads. These scores suggests that the Nokia is working on a less expensive mid-range model.
We could see three to four new Android phones and tablets from Nokia during the Q4 this year, that has already started from October 1. Some rumors claim that the Nokia is working on two premium handsets powered by the high-end Snapdragon 820 SoC with high-res QHD panels around the 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch marks and powerful 22.6MP cameras. So it could be the Nokia all over again for all the Nokia fans out there.
