OnePLus 2 now getting OxygenOS 3.1.0 OTA update, brings August security patch, QuadRooter fix

OnePlus has started rolling out a new software update to the OnePlus 2 smartphones. OnePlus 2 users will soon receive OxygenOS3.1.0 OTA update notification on their devices. As usual, the update roll out will be incremental, so it might take few days to get every OnePlus 2 device covered for the latest OTA update.

The new software update doesn’t bring any Android version upgrade, but it brings some important security fixes and improvements.Most importantly, the latest DxygenOS 3.1.0 OTA update contains August security patches for Android along with the fix for the QuadRooter vulnerability.
