Xiaomi has released the MIUI 8.1.1.0 Global Stable OTA update based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Redmi Note 3 smartphone. The new update comes with several optimizations, improvements and bug fixes.
The new update brings three-fingered swipe for screenshots, Privacy protection password, permissions for Lock screen and background notifications, colored backgrounds for Alarm and much more. The update size is around 1.3GB, that’s big!! so you need to ready your Wi-Fi connection during the download. The over-the-air update is available for users globally and rolling out gradually.
