Amazon has announced an entry-level all-new Kindle e-book reader with a few new reading features. The new Kindle is 11 percent thinner and 16 percent lighter than the previous generation Kindle. It also features twice the memory of the previous-generation hardware – 512MB instead of 256MB – for more smooth reading experience. It has a more rounded design and is available in black or white color option. The all-new Kindle cost only $79.99 globally and INR 5999/- in India.
The all-new Kindle also comes with a few new reading features, such as Export Notes and highlights, built-in Bluetooth audio support for better accessibility, Chinese Word Wise Hints, Personalized Home Screen and more. The all-new Kindle is the first Kindle with built-in Bluetooth audio support for better accessibility—visually impaired users can now use the VoiceView screen reader to read a book without an adaptor.
