Samsung Galaxy J5 2016, J2 Prime and Galaxy C5 receive March security update

Samsung has started pushing the latest security update to three more devices- Galaxy J5 2016, J2 Prime and Galaxy C5. This new firmware update installs the latest monthly security patch on them. These new update for J2 Prime, Galaxy J5 2016, and Galaxy C5 arriving as build number G532GDDU1AQC2, J510MNUBU2AQC1, and C5000ZCU1AQC1, respectively.

In order to keep the customers happy, Samsung is still taking care of even a budget segment device like the Galaxy J2 Prime. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take time for the update to hit your device. The latest security update only contains bug fixes and security patches. No new features are added.

if you feel impatient and want to check for it manually, you can do so by following below steps-

  • Go to Settings.
  • Tap on About device.
  • Now tap on System update.
Recommendation:

During the OTA update – get your handsets at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network before hitting the download button.
