Sony mobile has always some good stuffs for the Japan, this time company has launched an waterproof variant of Xperia X Compact for the customers out there. The waterproof variant of Xperia X Compact (SO-02J) is Japan exclusive, which comes in Pink color option too. The phone will be sold exclusively by Japanese carrier NTT docomo.
The Japan exclusive Xperia X Compact (SO-02J) comes with an additional feature over the global version – it has IP65/IP68 rating certification for dust and water resistant. Now the Japanese owners of Xperia X Compact can use it without having to worry about it getting wet in the rain. All the other features of the smartphone remain identically to the global model. Hope, we will get waterproof variant of the Xperia X Compact for all users globally, but until now it is exclusive to owners in Japan.
Japanese version of Xperia X Compact will also get a ‘Soft Pink’ color option – in addition to other three colors – Mist Blue, Universe Black and White. Sony has already released a ‘Deep Pink’ Xperia XZ exclusive to selected regions. We also hope to see the pink color variant of Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ in other regions over time.
The NTT docomo exclusive Sony Xperia X Compact with water and dust protection will be launch in early November.
Coming to Xperia X Compact (SO-02J), which remain identical to the base model on the specification front. It has a 4.6-inch HD screen and loop surface design which make it extra comfortable to hold and is ideal for an operation with just one hand. The phone is powered by an hexa-core Snapdragon 650 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Xperia X Compact features the same 23-megapixel main camera with Triple Image Sensing technology. It also has a a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 32GB internal storage, microSD memory card support and packs a 2700mAh battery.
