Unlocked Moto Z units in US starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to unlocked Moto Z units in the United States. The Moto Z Android Nougat update brings software build number NPL25.86-17-3. This update also includes Daydream certification that makes the handset compatible with Google’s VR platform Daydream.

The update didn’t come with latest Google’s security patches, the security patch level is remain at November though. This doesn’t look good for users who would like their devices update-to-date with the latest security from Google.
