How to watch the Apple iPhone 7 launch event LIVE on September 7 in your country

Apple will hold it’s big event on September 7 and send out invites to tech journalists from around the world to witness the launch of this year’s iPhone. It is almost certain that the most awaited smartphone of the year – iPhone 7 will be the showstopper of the event along with iPhone 7 Plus. The event takes place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.  The stream will begin at 10am in the US, which is 6pm in the UK and 10:30pm in India. How to watch Apple iPhone 7 launch event LIVE:

There are a number of ways to watch the show live on your computer or smartphone. You can head to the Apple’s website to watch the event live fulfilling some hardware requirements. You can watch the live streaming on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV and also on a windows PC. Apple uses a HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology to stream its show, which essentially locks it down to certain devices and software. Check out your eligible device software compatibility here:

Watch on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

If you are planning to watch the event on one of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch then make sure it’s running iOS 7 or later. Now to access the live streaming head to the Safari app and browse to the event page.

Watch on Mac

For the Mac users, your system should be ready with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later. All you need to do is open up Safari and head to Apple’s event page.

Watch on Apple TV

To watch it on Apple TV, one requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation). Navigate to Apple Events channel and you will be able to watch the event live on your your Apple TV.

Watch on Windows PC

How to watch iPhone 7 launch event on Android or Linux or Windows 8.1 or lower:

Apple’s live streaming technology is not officially compatible with Android or any Windows version earlier to Windows 10. But the users running on these devices can also watch the live streaming in real-time. All you need to follow these steps:

  • Launch the VLC media player app on your Android device or Windows PC. If you don’t have the VLC app then download it for Windows from this link and for Android from here.
  • Navigate to the Media tab in the top-left corner on PC and go to the Stream menu on Android app.
  • Select Open Network Stream, to watch the events live streaming you’ll need to enter in the network URL of the stream. Head to the following link apple.co/live
  • Press PLAY

For the last minute analysis, Apple is all set to hold the September 7 event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The company didn’t confirm exactly what it will announce on the day.
