Samsung Galaxy A8 Duos (first-gen) start receiving Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update

Samsung has stared rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the first-generation Galaxy A8 Duos smartphone in India. The handset was launched in 2015. The new software upgrade also brings September security patches to the device along with the Android Marshmallow (version 6.0.1) to make it more stable and secure.

The Software upgrade file size is around 890MB and is rolling out to the Galaxy A8 Duos owners in India. As usual the OTA update is rolling out gradually, so it make take some time to reach you. To check the software upgrade notification manually on your device by heading to your handset’s Settings menu – Settings » About device » Software update.
