Google’s video calling app ‘Duo’ will support audio-only calls very soon

Google has recently launched it’s video calling app named ‘Duo’ for Android and iOS users. This mobile app is exclusively launched for smartphones and tied up with mobile number. If we compare this app with Apple’s FaceTime, both apps offer high quality video and audio. The big advantage of Google’s Duo is ‘cross platform’ support.

While a major feature is missing in Google’s Duo, that is audio only call feature. This is most important feature for the Duo users. They have already pointed in reviews. But Google has confirmed that audio only call feature is on the way and company will roll out it very soon. Google has not confirmed any timeline to roll out this feature.

Its quite surprising that Google has not included this feature at the time of launch while audio call only feature is most important feature for any video calling app. It any user doesn’t connect with strong WiFi network, data signals or don’t want to use too much amount of data, at that time Audio Call only feature is very important similar to other chatting apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Both chatting apps support Audio Only call in very better way.

On the other hand, Reportedly Google is working on next social app named ‘Allo’. The new chatting app will focuses on Expression, The Google Assistant, and security.
