Lava International Limited has launched India’s first 4G-enabled feature phone in India called Lava 4G Connect M1. It’s polycarbonate body, has a 2.4-inch display and VGA camera on the back. Lava 4G Connect M1 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 512 MB RAM along with 4GB ROM which is expandable up to 32GB.
Lava says that apart from 4G, the feature phone supports 2G voice calling and EDGE connectivity.It is powered by a 1750 mAh battery and comes with Wireless FM and Bluetooth connectivity as well. The company says the Lava 4G Connect M1 “combines the experience of a smartphone and the durability, affordability and battery backup of a feature phone.” The phone is preloaded with Facebook Lite as well as messaging applications. It also has Box speaker and K class amplifier that promises loud and clear sound.

Price And Availability
Lava 4G Connect M1 feature phone will be available at a price of Rs 3,333 and comes at the time when reports claim Reliance Jio is working on 4G feature phones with the price range of less than Rs 1,500. Reliance Jio’s feature phone is yet to make an appearance; reports say it will come bundled with access to content from Jio’s suite of apps. Lava 4G Connect M1 will be available across retail stores and multi-brand outlets across India in a few weeks’ time.
