Finally, Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to all Moto G4 and G4 Plus owners in India. The update brings the Build number NPJ25.93-11; same as latest soak test build with November Android security patches. The OTA update size is 733MB. As the OTA rollout is gradual, so it may take few days to reach you, if you haven’t get it already. Also the Android Nougat update to G4 and G4 Plus is currently releasing only in India, so other regions should get the update in coming weeks.
The Nougat update for Moto G4 and G4 Plus brings many new features. Android 7.0 Nougat brings new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features. This brings a new Moto action that lets you swipe to shrink the screen. Users will also have a new setting to disable and enable locking the screen when the screen is on and you touch the fingerprint sensor (for Moto G4 Plus only). To access this setting, go to the Settings, scroll down to “Security”, then tap on the screen lock gear icon.
