Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Unveiled: Featuring Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Processor

Lenovo smartphone manufacturers unveiled the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion on Thursday. According to the manufacturer, this midrange phone will get three significant Android OS updates. It comes pre-installed with Android 14. Together with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower charging, the smartphone has a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. An up to 256GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM are included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU that powers the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion price in India

In India, the base variant of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, costs Rs. 22,999. The device, which costs Rs. 24,999, is also offered with a 12GB_256GB RAM and storage configuration. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with a vegan leather finish in Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue colorways, along with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) finish in a third Forest Blue color choice.

An update related to its sale was also announced. It is expected that the new Edge 50 Fusion may go on sale on May 22 through Flipkart, their official website, and a few retail locations in India. Additionally, customers can take advantage of an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 on credit card and credit card EMI purchases through ICICI Bank.

Features and Specifications 

A dual SIM smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,0800×2,400 pixels) pOLED curved display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. It runs the MyUX operating system, which is based on Android 14. 

The phone is water and dust resistant, with an IP68 grade. The dimensions are 162×73.1×7.9mm for vegan leather and 162×73.1×7.8mm for PMMA, per the company’s specifications.

The Edge 50 Fusion includes a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 68W with a compatible TurboPower charging brick. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, according to the firm. A 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen2 processor from Qualcomm and up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM power the Edge 50 Fusion.

It even has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.88 aperture and a Sony LYT-700C sensor for taking pictures and recording videos. Additionally, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera that can be used as a macro lens and has an f/2.2 aperture. With an f/2.45 aperture, the 32-megapixel front-facing camera sensor may be used for both video calls and selfies.

In terms of storage space, the product offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For biometric authentication, an in-display fingerprint sensor is included. In addition, the phone has an ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and e-compass.
