New BlackBerry DTEK70 (Mercury) teased in official videos, images

TCL is expected to unveil the new BlackBerry brand of smartphones – BlackBerry DTEK70 (Mercury) – at the CES 2017. Ahead of the official announcement, Steve Cistulli, President and General Manager for TCL Communication, North America teases the smartphone in some teaser videos. The teaser video shows beautifully crafted physical QWERTY keyboard on upcoming BlackBerry smartphone.

In addition to this, a new set of images of the phone have surfaced in the form of a Weibo post. The new leaked image gives a good glimpse of the device from both front & back sides for the black colored variant of the device. The front of the device shows a physical keyboard below the display. At the back, there’s a big rear-camera module on the top left along with LED flash. You can also see the big blackberry logo in the middle.

Adding to this, the Weibo post also reveals some specs of the phone describes as a 4.2-inch display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB/32GB memory configuration, and 3,400mAh battery. The device is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system.

The BlackBerry / TCL event takes place today, January 4th at CES 2017, where the upcoming BlackBerry device is expected to be unveiled.
