Samsung didn’t mention which year Galaxy A3 and A8 will get the update, presumably, Samsung is referring to the 2016 versions of these devices. According to Samsung, the Android 7.0 Nougat will be released to these phones and tablets within the first half of this year.
Samsung said in an official blog post:
“Android 7.0 Nougat will be expanded to additional countries on the following devices within the first half of this year: Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8.”
We hope that the above list will expand in future and Samsung could release Nougat for even more devices in the second half of 2017.
The Android Nougat update brings new and improved features promise to let Galaxy users get more out of their devices. New features in the Android 7.0 based firmware include a new design for notifications and quick setting toggles, improved Multi Window, Performance Mode, Samsung Pass, improved Always On Display, and much more. The update also enables faster speeds for downloading apps and system software updates.
