Sony Corp. has decided to cut the price of PlayStation 4 video game console to around $350 from $400. The reason behind this decision is to boost sales ahead of the year-end holiday season. This is a good news for all video game lovers. Company has also decided to follows similar price cuts of the console in Asia, including its home market Japan.
We are sure that price cut on PS4 will create a big pressure on Microsoft Corp who is the rival of Sony. Microsoft’s gaming console named Xbox One system has lagged the PlayStation 4 in global.
As you all know, Sony is still struggling with weak smartphones and TV sales but Video games, along with sensors, have helped lead a turnaround and continuously generating a big revenue for Sony Corp.

Due to high demand of PlayStation 4, Sony is expecting $501.3 million growth which from a previous $379.3 million. This is just a forecast, the revenue figures can go up or down based on sale.
