Super Mario Run is not free to play, also requires internet connectivity – Here’s everything you need to know

Three months earlier, Nintendo announced the Super Mario Run game at the Apple’s iPhone 7 launch event. Now the game is available in iTunes App Store for download on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The game will also land on Android devices, but the Android owners out there have to wait a little more. The Super Mario Run has already broke the download records on Apple’s iTunes store. Super Mario Run – What’s the GamePlay

Nintendo says, Super Mario Run is a new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand. In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it’s up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.

In the World Tour campaign, all you have to run and jump with style to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches! Travel through plains, caverns, Ghost Houses, airships, castles, and more…

In the Toad Rally campaign, show off Mario’s stylish moves, compete against your friends and challenge people from all over the world. This is a challenge mode where the competition differs each time you play. In order to play Toad Rally, you will need Rally Tickets that you can acquire in a variety of ways, such as clearing worlds or through bonus games in your kingdom.

You will also have a Kingdom Builder gameplay, where you can create your very own unique kingdom with buildings and decorations that you acquire with the help of Toads gathered in Toad Rally.

Super Mario Run release time on Android and iOS

Super Mario Run released on December 15 globally on iOS devices and is now available to download on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Android owners have to wait a little more as the Super Mario Run will be available for Android devices sometime in 2017.

Free to try, that’s it. Nintendo has stated you can play a few levels of Super Mario Run at no cost to you. You will only be able to download and enjoy a portion of Super Mario Run for free (First three levels available as a free demo).

You need to go online to play the game. It require Internet connectivity to play, so the data charges may apply. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, has revealed that you will need an Internet connection to play Super Mario Run. Miyamoto said that the decision had been taken to combat the game’s piracy. Commenting on this, he said to Mashable,

For us, we view our software as being a very important asset for us, and also for consumers who are purchasing the game, we want to make sure that we’re able to offer it to them in a way that the software is secure, and that they’re able to play it in a stable environment. The game is not releasing in a limited number of countries. We’re launching in 150 countries and each of those countries has different network environments and things like that. So it was important for us to be able to have it secure for all users.
