Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has made Hydrogen OS 3.0 available for both the handsets- OnePlus 3 and 3T. It is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Some users have been reporting that new Hydrogen OS 3.0 is offering slightly better battery life in comparison to Oxygen OS 4.0. This new Hydrogen OS is designed for the Chinese version of the devices, but it can also be easily installed by users from other countries via recovery. Users can flash the new firmware on their devices.
Hydrogen OS generally contains more fixes and improvements, it is important to note that being a Chinese build, it comes devoid of any Google services, including the Play Store. But you can download Google apps and flash it manually. Since the ROM is designed with the Chinese market in mind, the ROM comes in both Chinese and English languages and might include some Chinese apps which global users may not find useful.
