Gionee has officially unveiled the M2017 premium smartphone. One of the most highlighted feature of the Gionee M2017 is it’s huge battery capacity. The phone offers a powerful 7000mAh polymer lithium-ion battery capacity (there are two 3,500mAh batteries inside) with its own intelligent power management system. It promises promises up to 25 hours of continuous video playback and 915.42 hours of standby. Gionee M2017 come with the support of 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and dual fast charging chip.
Coming to other specs, Gionee M2017 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED curved display of 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It’s a low power consumption display with sapphire glass protection. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The storage options include 128GB and 256GB model with no microSD card slot. A 3.5mm headphone jack is missing as well. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.5 on top.
The phone offers a metal frame and a leather back with a fingerprint sensor on the front. The phone measures 155.2 x 77.6 x 10.78mm and weighing in at 238g. On the camera specifications, Gionee M2017 has dual rear camera setup (12MP + 13MP) with 2x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Gionee M2017 comes in Gold and Black color models.
Price and Availability
Gionee M2017 has been unveiled in China and is priced at RMB 6,999 (approx. US$ 1007 / Rs. 68300) for the standard version. There is also an exclusive top model with Italian custom alligator leather back which costs RMB 16,999 (approx. US$ 2446 / Rs. 1,65,800). The phone is already available for pre-order in China. There’s currently no information on when or if the Gionee M2017 will be available outside of China.
