Only 1.2% of Android devices are running Nougat yet, Lollipop has the biggest share followed by Marshmallow and KitKat

Google has released the latest data about Android OS distribution for the devices running different Android version. This gives the information about the relative number of devices running a given version of the Android platform. And for the first time, Android’s latest version Nougat has crossed the 1% mark in the Google OS distribution chart. Now, total 1.2% of Android running devices are running Nougat 7.0 and 7.1 together.

Google has already moved fromĀ Android 7.0 to Android 7.1.2 which includes several new features and improvements. Not sitting far behind, different smartphone manufacturers have also confirmed their list of eligible devices that will get the Android Nougat update. Many of the Android devices have already got the latest Nougat update. There is lot more to go as the Nougat running Android devices have only 1.2% of the market.

Meanwhile, The Android Lollipop remains the top OS version running on devices with a share of 32.9%. Android Marshmallow tops the second spot with a share of 30.7% of the market followed by Android KitKat at third place with a share of 21.9%.
