[How to] Adjust Chrome’s default zoom settings

Many people like the different level of zoom while working on computers. If you have upgraded to Windows 10 & a new monitor, you may be working o higher screen resolution. Needless to say, many people are using the old version of Windows and doesn’t have good quality monitors. In this case, they need to adjust zoom setting in browsers. To adjust the settings, we use shortcuts: Ctrl – to zoom out and Ctrl + to zoom in. Another way to do this – Open the Menu icon (three dots at right-hand side), you will find the zoom controls and adjust the zoom settings according to your comfort.zoom-settings-1If you don’t know, we would like to tell you, if you use above method to adjust the zoom settings, the setting will be adjusted for current page only. Chrome browser will  remember these setting only for current session. But if you want to adjust the zoom settings permanently, you need to venture into settings of Google Chrome. Below are the steps to do this-

  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Go to the Menu icon (three dots at right-hand side).
  • Click on ‘Settings’.zoom-settings-2
  • Scroll to the bottom and click on ‘Show advanced settings’.zoom-settings-3
  • Scroll down, you will see ‘Web Content’ section.zoom-settings-4
  • In this section, you will get the ‘Page Zoom’ option. This option will impact global page zoom settings.zoom-settings-5
  • Click it to choose the default percentage of zoom you want. That’s it.

Note: Changes are reflected instantly, so you can check it in other open tabs. If it’s not suitable for you, you can make further modifications in settings.
