Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Moto G4 and G4 Plus in the United States. Motorola is currently rolling out the Nougat update as part of a soak test to units on Republic Wireless. If everything goes fine, the company will continue to roll out the Nougat update to all Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices soon. The Moto G4 and G4 Plus owners in India have received the Android 7.0 Nougat update almost three months ago. Considering these device very popular in India and the US both, Motorola is taking too much time to bring it in the US.
The update brings the software build version NPJ25.93-13 along with the the Android 7.0 Nougat, and also includes December 2016 Android security patch.
If no issue arises, then Motorola will soon roll out the Nougat update to all Moto G4 and G4 devices in coming days. So hope for the Nougat !! To check manually for any software upgrade notification Go to the Apps > Settings > About Phone > System Updates. If the update is available to you, you’ll see a pop-up notification asking you to download.
