Motorola confirms that the Moto M will get Android Nougat update soon, denied later

Motorola has confirmed it officially that the Moto M smartphone will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. Moto M was unveiled last month in China and has just launched in India in two memory variants. The Moto M runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. If you are planning to get the new Moto M, then here’s a good news coming out straight from the company that the Nougat update will be out soon for the handset. The confirmation came in the form of a tweet from the official Moto India’s account.

[Update] This turned out to be a mistake from their end. The Company has apologized for a typo mistake. They wanted to say ‘G and G Plus’ instead of ‘M’. So There is no Nougat update for Moto M anytime soon. We hope Moto M will get it any time later.

The Moto M is the latest addition to the list of Motorola smartphones that will get the Android Nougat update. In case you missed, Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones just started getting the Nougat update. The global roll-out of the Android Nougat update for Moto Z and Moto Z Force already started last month.
