Yesterday, Google started rolling out Android Nougat 7.1.2 OTA update to eligible Nexus and Pixel devices with April 2017 Android security patches. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 is not getting this update Now the company has made available the official factory images for various Nexus and Pixel devices. This update contains a number of bug fixes, added features, and general performance/stability improvements.

Android 7.1.2 includes:

  • Improved fingerprint swipe performance
  • Bluetooth connectivity improvements
  • Battery usage alerts

Full factory images of these latest builds are available for: Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus Player. You can download the factory images and OTA files right now directly from Google. You can also download the factory images for the Pixel and Nexus devices that are based on the new Android 7.1.2 Nougat from the below links directly:

The Android 7.1.2 OTA update is rolling out gradually, it may take some time to reach you. If you don’t have the OTA update yet, you can download the factory images and OTA files from Google Developer website and flash it manually on on your device (should only be attempted by those of you who know how to use fastboot). We suggest you to wait for the official OTA update on your device, that will reach in coming days, if already not.
