Sony Xperia X Performance to receive Android 7.0 Nougat Beta firmware via the Xperia Beta program

The Xperia X Performance owners, who had signed up for Android Nougat Xperia Beta program, will receive Android 7.0 Nougat Beta firmware via an over-the-air update shortly. The Android Nougat Xperia Beta Program registration for the Sony Xperia X Performance owners was opened in September this year. Now the select Xperia X Performance (model F8131) owners will get a first look at Sony’s pre-release version of Android 7.0 Nougat. Select owners are now beginning to receive emails confirming if they have been successful in testing Sony’s latest firmware.

The email confirms that an over-the-air-update to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat will roll out to the Xperia X Performance in the next 48 hours. That means Sony Mobile is finally going to take on the latest Android release for it’s eligible Xperia devices. Earlier this, Sony has released the list of eligible Xperia phones that will receive the Android Nougat update. Also, a time schedule for the Nougat roll out to it’s devices has surfaced, which revealed that the Sony Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ will be the first devices to receive the Android Nougat update. And now, Sony is all up for first Nougat Beta firmware release to it’s Xperia X Performance.
